dakle kao prvo laik sam za lin. os mandriva 2006,i imam intel(r) data fax voice v.92 modem,sa neta sam skinuo driwer :
intel-537ep-2.60.80.1-mdk10.1-smp.tgzi nikako ne uspevam da ga nstaliram.recicu sta sam radio pa mi recite gde gresim 🙁
nakon raspakivanja u konzoli ako root kucam
make clean
make 537
make installi na kraju mi javi neki direktorijum 537 ne postoji.
kasnije je to nekako proradilo,i u kppp-u mi se pojavi prvi na listi /dev/modem/
kad njega izaberem pri biranju odmah izbaci gresku.
izvinite ako malo nepovezano pisem,ali ovo mi je stvarno potrebno!
precesljao sam sve moguce forume i vec nedelju dana ne mogu da ga podesim.ako je neko voljan da mi objasni kako i sta da radimPod pretpostavkom da je driver instaliran valjano:
/dev/modem je zastarela varijanta, koja se koristi jos jedino radi kompatibilnosti. Zapravo, koristis com portove, i to ovako. Ako ti je modem na com1 to je /dev/ttyS0. Ako je COM2 to je ttyS1 i tako sukcesivno…Problem je ocigledno softverske prirode. Mandriva 2006 je malo nezahvalna za namestanje modema. Mislim da drajvere nisi dobro instalirao ili pak KPP ili Kinternet podesio. Napisi tacno kako ti izbaci…
hm hm kao prvo pogledaj ovaj link, http://132.68.73.235/linmodems/index.html#scanmodem , zatim skini scanmodem, evo adresa sa istog sajta
http://132.68.73.235/linmodems/packages/scanModem.gz i postupi po uputstvu koje tamo pise.ova skripta ce ti reci tacno koji ti je modem i koji ti driver treba za njega.
kada skines novi driver, onda uradis sve sto pise u njegovom readme-ju.

pokreni scanmodem skriptu obavezno!
skinuo sam i pokrenuo scanModem,pokrenuo i evo sta konzola kaze:

Kao što ti scanModem kaže, primer uspešne kompilacije je dat ovde:

Probaj da ručno kopiraš modul Intel537.ko negde u poddirektorijume /lib/modules/IMEKERNELA/ pa da pokreneš:
