Glavni majstorPostavio sam ovo pitanje na Debian sajtu i dobio neke odgovore,po kojima sam pokusao da instaliram nvidia-glx drajver,ali mi to nije uspelo.
Graficka karta nije neka najnovija: nvidia 6200 NX 128MB
Jedan od nacina je bio:
skinuo najnoviji drajver sa Nvidia sajta:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07-pkg2.run
zatim: ctrl-alt-F1 prijavio se kao root
zatim zaustavio gdm:
/etc/init.d/gdm stop
zatim:sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07-pkg2.run
usao u grafickog carobnjaka i pratio uputstvo,carobnjak odradio svoje.
ponovo startovao gdm
posle restartovanja :crn ekran
Poenta je da kada u xorg.conf fajlu postavim driver na “nvidia” dobijam crn ekran ,iako
pri instalaciji i kompajliranju drivera nema izvestaja o gresci.
Moram driver da vratim na “nv” da bih ponovo imao X.
Ima li neko neki savet u kom pravcu da idem ,znam za ono idi na 32-bit-nu verziju,ali ja necu to.11. januar 2008. u 9:27 pm #66640RiSK
UčesnikHajde prvo okaci konfiguracioni i log fajl X servera.
Konfiguracioni je u /etc/X11/xorg.conf a log najverovatnije u /var/log/Xorg.0.logMozda kazu nesto korisno o gresci 😉

GostPojavio se novi momenat:
Posle instalacije koja ide po sledecoj proceduri:1. ctrl-Alt-F1 ulogovan kao root i dalji rad u konzoli
2 /etc/init.d/gdm stop zaustavljanje gdm-a
3 sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07-pkg2.run ulazak u instalacionog carobnjaka
4 rad u carobnjaku (ne svidja mi se ovaj izraz carobnjak)
5 po zavrsetku instalacije: startx
Tu se pojavljuje mogucnost prijavljivanja na sistem kao root ili obican user.
Kada izaberem obicnog korisnika dobijam crni ekran
Kada izaberem root dobijam NVIDIA logo i 3D znaci glx drajver proradi.
Posle restartovanja sistema i prijave kao obican koris. dobijam crn ekran,tada se logujem (ctrl-alt-F1) kao root ,i dobijem konzolu na komandu: startx dobijam izvestaj ono: fatal error itd…ne moze da podigne X.
Posle ponovim ponovo instalaciju po opisanoj proceduri i opet radi glx.

GostVidi poslusao sam tvoj predlog i napravio novog korisnika,pokusao sam i po grupama medjutim nemam ponovo 3D.
Problem po meni nastaje u momentu startovanja gdm-a, kada se koristi kao obican korisnik.
Ako u startu xorg.conf podesim na “nvidia” drajver umesto na “nv” drajver nemam cak ni login window,jednostavno totalno crn ekran,tada jedino mogu da se logujem iz konzole kao root ili user.
Kakva je razlika izmedju startx komande i /etc/init.d/gdm start,sta se kojom pokrece?

Kada pokusam iz :System/Administration/Login Window dobijam poruku:GDM (GNOME Display Manager) is not running.

Ovo kad sam ulogovan kao root.

nešto ovako je meni pomoglo u sličnoj situaciji(ako je slična konfiguracija drajvera sa 96xx)
drajver komunicira preko 2 uredjaja u /dev/# ls -o /dev/nvidia*

crw——- 1 guest 195, 255 Jan 12 07:35 /dev/nvidiactlzapamti prvo koje su im tekuće premissions ( ovo je crw——— kod mene)
pa im promeni pomoću
[code]chmod 666 /dev/nvidia*[/code]
(ovo je definitivno sigurnosni propust ,samo da napomenem)
ako su kod tebe iste vraćaju se na prethodno pomoću
[code]chmod 600 /dev/nvidia*[/code]ako ni ovo neće stavi onaj 100.14 drajver( sigurno radi na gf6200)

GostPonovo sam odradio i ovo sto si predlozio promenio ovlastenja na ta dva fajla,ali mi je problem ostao.
Pokusao sam i sa drugim,predlozenim drajverom 100.14.19,ali sve je ostalo nepromenjeno.
Jedino novo sto sam zapazio je kada krene instalacija iz nvidia-installer-a,pojavi se upozorenje da drajver nije uradjen istim kompajlerom kao i kernel( radi se o verzijama gcc 4.1 i gcc.4.2),sa sajta:
ftp://download.nvidia.com trazi prekompajlirani kernel ,ali ga ne nalazi,vec kompajlira postojeci i na kraju instalacije kaze da je drajver ucitan.13. januar 2008. u 10:53 pm #66648Sioux
