Quantian је remasterovani Knoppix
(Debian), i predstavlja kompletni desktop Linux sistem koji poseduje
auto-konfiguraciju i može direktno pokre?e sa cdrom/dvd diskova bilo
na pc ili laptopu Najnovije verzije Quantian-a su bazirane
na clusterKnoppix i imaju
podršku za openMosix,
uklju?uju?i i udaljeno butanje klijenata sa openMosix terminal
servera.Quantian je ekstenzija Knoppix-a i clusterKnoppix-a koji
predstavljaju osnovu sistema na koju je dodano oko 2 GB softvera
zajedno sa automatskom detekcijom hardvera i njegovom konfiguracijom.
Ipak, može se re?i sa se Quantian poprili?no razlikuje po izboru
softvera od Knoppix-a ne samo zato što je mnogo ve?e veli?ine ve? i
zbog toga što je jednim ve?im delom okrenut nauci, tj . poseduje
kgotovo 1 GB scientific aplikacija i to od matematike, fizike hemije,
