UčesnikEvo ovako; instalirao sam na laptopu Toshiba Satellite S5200-701 Gentoo 2005.1 stage3 (uspeo mi je iz druge). Stavio sam KDE 3.4.1 sa Package CD-a, a s njim je bio instaliran i xorg; pored toga stavio sam i nVidia drivere sa oficijalnog sajta.
Problem je sledeci – ulazim u KDE (nvidia driveri su uchitani, vidim veliki nvidijin logo na beloj pozadini, i kad kucam “lsmod” modul nvidia je uchitan), ali imam samo 2 rezolucije 640×480 i 320×240. Da naravno, treba mi 1024×768 (na 60Hz, na koliko rade TFT ekrani)xorg sam uspeo da podesim vec nekako (2 sata sam ga podeshavao); fali mu jos par redova (mislim da je to razlog zasto ne dobijam vece rezolucije). Za podeshavanje koristio sam naredbu xorgconfig (Xorg -configure nije hteo da zavrshi, te ono te ovo – ne moze da pronadje misha…). Kad me je pitao za refresh rateove samo sam lupio enter i izgleda da je on preskochio tih par redova (ima ceo xorg.conf ispod – slobodno ga pogledajte). Ostalo je sve dobro proshlo. X server radi, ali na maloj rezoluciji.
Na forumu sam video da je bilo rechi oko ovoga – koristi Knoppix.
Knoppix mi daje: vertical sync 50-75Hz
Horizontal sync 28-96KHzovo mi je malo sumnjivo (previshe). Na desktop monitoru – CRT 17″ Siemens Nixdorf koji radi 1024×768@85Hz, Knoppix prijavljuje:
VertRefresh 50-120
HorizSync 30 – 70.0Vishe ima TFT monitor u horiz. od CRT-a. Ne bih da sad sprzim display na laptopu. Lepo pishe na gentoo sajtu u odeljku za podeshavanje X-a:

Shta da mu stavim u xorgu kao refresh rate? Ako neko ima laptop koji ide 1024×768@60Hz (max rezolucija da bude 1024×768, 60Hz mislim da je standard za TFT) da mi kaze koje vrednosti je uneo u xorg.conf-u?
Ili ako nije do toga, do chega je i kako da se sredi?P.S. malo mi je i slika mutna u KDE-u, valjda je to zbog rezolucije.
P.P.S. za podehavanje xorga, sluzio sam se http://www.cwrose.de/toshiba/s5200.html , mada nije isti model, slichan je, taj display ide 1600×1200, ne smem te vrednosi za refresh rate da koristim.A evo i celog xorg.confa sa laptopa:

UčesnikMilose, jedno veliko HVALA. Probao sam ova podeshavanja iz Fedore i radi 1024×768@60. I slika je sada mnogo chistija (oshtrija) nego pre.

Ostres hvala i tebi, al’ ne bih da rizikujem, bar kad je laptop pitanju.mali offtopic: moze li nekako da se podesi da mi pri bootu budu sitna slova i sharena isto kao kad se instalira gentoo (ili npr. Knoppix dok se butuje)?
