Interesuje me samo koja verzija drajvera za modem Intel 536EP radi na Mandrake 9.2. Sve ostalo znam da uradim.

Koliko se ja sećam, zar nije falio kernel-source na CD-ovima kod nekog od ranijih MDK-a?
Inače uvek možeš da ga ručno skineš sa nekog MDK mirror-a…Nece da instalira modem. Kernel-source sam skinuo sa neta i instalirao sam ga bez problema jer sam nasao taj koji meni treba dok za modem nakon komande make install izlista par redova i na kraju pise: ERROR: Can not remove /dev/536ep i mogu samo da ga duvam.
vidi lsmod i ako tu nađeš i536ep, onda ti je modul poteran, možda još samo da startuješ hamregistry, a proveri sa: ps -A | grep hamregitry , svakako možeš konsultovati i i Intel536ep.install i .boot skriptu i tu ti je tačno prikazano šta make install skripta radi i kako se podiže prilikom starta mašine, a pošto je to MDK onda bi po restartu sve trebalo da radi.
Jednostavno:
modprobe intel536ep
hamregistry &Jedino ako ti sad ko za inat ne napravi nodove, ali bi i to trebalo da radi.
Instalirao sam vise verzija ali evo sta konkretno pose u toku cele instalacije:
