Imam par komentara koji ti mozda nece resiti problem, ali ono cisto da znas. Kao prvo, X konfigurisi rucno. Kao drugo, nemoj da se bakces sa root nalogom. To radis samo kada mislis da imas problem sa permisijama, a meni ne deluje da imas.

xorg.conf sam rucno sredio, imam ja jedan xorg.conf koji mi sluzi kao vodilja (nisam ga surovo prekopirao nego po uzoru na njega doeditova postojeci)

E, sad sam tek uocio. Startkde ne moze da sljaka ako nisi podigao X. Pod rootom kucaj takodje startx. Ali pre toga edituj /root/.xinitrc (ako postoji) i tu ubaci “exec startkde”. Ona greska o krepersonalizeru se javlja zato sto pokreces startkde direktno.
Nego, i ja sam malo googlao, ali nisam nasao nista sto lici. U sustini, to ne bi trebalo da se desi UOPSTE. E sad, mozda je u pitanju sama instalacija KDEa. Ako hoces da reinstaliras KDE, onda imam dva predloga:
1. pacman -Rsc kde (uklanja KDE, sve pakete na koje se ovaj oslanja, i sve pakete koji se oslanjaju na njega; moguce da ce i X da ti ukloni)
2. odes u /var/cache/pacman/pkg i tamo obrises pakete koji se odnose na KDE (pronadji ih sa ls | grep kde)Ako hoces da instaliras ponovo KDE (a pretpostavljam da je to poenta), onda ili:
a. pacman -Sy kde
ili
b. instaliras KDEmod (http://kdemod.ath.cx/installation.html), sto ti toplo preporucujem
Nisam siguran da ce ovo da resi problem, ali vredi pokusati.
Da, kad brises KDE pakete iz /var/cache/pacman/pkg, obrisi i qt (ls | grep qt). Brisanje fajlova iz kesa se radi da bi bio siguran da nisu sjebani paketi (mada i to je sumnjivo, meni se nikad nije desilo da se paket lose skine, a i kad se to desi, pacman bi trebalo da “zna za to”).

reci mi samo da li mogu da sacuvam pakete iz /var/cacshe/pacman/pkg posto imam oko 500mega paketa i ne bi da skidam kdemod ispocetka.
jos par reci samo:
instalirao sam kdemod i on isto stane na istom mestu kao i obican kde (pokrenem kao user sa startx i editovanim xinitrc)prilikom instalacije koje pakete da izaberem, samo osnovni sistem???

mislim da necu da instaliram ponovo arch, evo ga gnome radi kao sat…
ja sam ga pokretao kao root direktno exec gnome-session i naravno da nije radilo, editovao sam xinitrc i evo me.22. avgust 2007. u 12:31 am #59520foxbunnyUčesnikPa, ako te me mrzi, toplo bih ti preporucio ponovnu instalaciju samo Base paketa. Sacuvaj /var/cache/pacman/pkg, kao i /etc/pacman.conf fajl. Tako ces se sacuvati od ponovnog downloada.
KDEmod zaista lepo radi, mogu ti reci, a i lepo je upakovan. Neki bagovi su takodje sredjeni u KDEmodu, tako da radi jos stabilnije od inace stabilnog 3.5.7 izdanja.

kao root sam napravio jedan xinitrc fajl u kome stoji exec startkde, sada i kao root zakucava na istom mestu kao i user i to kad dodje kod

jos da iskopam neki kde log i vidim sta ga muci…
nekako mislim dzabe mi reinstalacija kad gnome radi a samo kde zeza..al videcu ujutru -
